Hello! My card today is for the new challenge at Cardz 4 Guys (#285) where we have a theme of “shades of brown.”
I used a stencil for the background, blending tow different shades of brown. I also added some more brown ink over the whole thing to tone down the areas that were behind the stencil. The stamp is one I’ve had in my stash for a long time, no packaging so I am not sure where it is from. The sentiment is from a set by Taylored Expressions.

Oh, Melanie – I love this card, so sorry it’s for such a sad occasion. We have two chocolate labs here, so I LOVE your dog image! Just how ours sit, too, lol. Thanks so much for playing at AYSI!
Such a lovely card for a sad reason. I like your stencilled background and the layout really draws the eye to the main panel. Thank you for joining in with us at As You See It Challenge.
This is a beautifully sensitive card for a tough season of loss! The monotone look really helps keep it clean and simplified, but helps to get that message of caring across. Thanks for using our theme challenge for a good purpose at As You See It Challenges.
Such a lovely card for a heartbreaking event. The background is so beautiful and soft and really show off that image and sentiment. Thanks for playing along with As You See It!
What a fabulous card! That stenciling is amazing and I just love that dog image. Perfect for a pet sympathy. Thanks for sharing this with us at As You See It this week!
