Paper Pieced Flowers

Good morning! Thank you for stopping by today. My card was inspired by combining the challenges at Always Fun #221, where the theme is “paper piecing,” and from the challenge at Make the Cards # 23, where we have a sketch this week. Both of these challenges will be open through July 11 if you would like to join in!

The QUICK and SIMPLE details: I started by making a background with distress oxide inks on some mixed paper with the “smooshing” technique. I stamped the flower image on it quite a few times, then stamped the flower image on some different scraps of matching papers. I cut those out and then pieced them onto the other piece. After that I used a die cut to make the circle. I added a sentiment, an extra flower underneath it, and some gold embellishments for the centers of the flowers.

Additional challenges:

Creative Knockouts #408 – anything goes

Cardz TV Challenge #144 – anything goes

Die Cut Divas – tone on tone
