I am surprised I haven’t run across The Library Challenge sooner, as it brings together my two favorite hobbies – card making and reading! Each new challenge provides the cover of a book, and that is the inspiration for creating a card, whether it be the title, the story, or the cover. Challenge #57 has A Child’s Garden of Verses as the featured book.
I used an image from My Favorite Things which I thought was perfect to go with the girl, and I also had the circle border dies that I thought would mimic the frame shown on the cover. I was happy to use them for the first time on this card!
That’s a pretty take on the book. I love this challenge. I don’t often get much chance to join in though. Love Dawn x
I really like the red and green colour combo – the die cut frame and the little girl are the perfect take on the book cover. Thanks for joining The Library. Now you’ve found the challenge, I hope you’ll keep coming back!
This has been featured as a ‘Librarian’s Choice’. Thank you for sharing it at The Library.
This is a lovely card! That frame is adorable.
