Hello and thanks for checking out my post today. It’s the start of a new challenge at Double Trouble, and not only our first of the new year, but also the 100th challenge! To recognize this milestone we are offering some extra prizes, both on the main challenge blog, but also from each of the design team members. Be sure to check out all the details, there is a lot to be given away! ****Comment here and you have a chance to win my personal blog prize – $10 Amazon gift code!
To enter the 100th challenge all you have to do is follow the requirement of Thing 1 – which is to use at least one die cut, punch or machine cut and have at least two layers on your card/project. If you would like to go for the extra challenge by Thing 3 (and earn another chance in the drawing) be sure to include something that you would cuddle up with (a quilt, a good book, a pet, etc.)
Finally, we are partnering with Bitten By the Bug 2, where you can enter your card/project for an additional chance in the drawing if you met the optional challenge and didn’t do any fussy cutting, only used dies, punches, or a machine cut.
The QUICK and SIMPLE details: Since I spend quite a bit of time reading and my daughter is always reading, I chose this stamp set from Close To My Heart to use for making a bookmark. The layers are from a slimline die cut set, but just the right size for a bookmark, and anyone who likes to read can probably relate to the sentiment!
Ah, Melanie, not only is the sentiment true but your coloring is awesome. Love this stamp!
This makes me think, “So many books… such little time.” Your bookmark is a great idea for this challenge, Melanie. I love the colors you used – nicely colored, too.
I erred in my comment above but was unable to remove and restate it. In any case, I love the card!
Love the colours you used and this is such a great way to “cuddle up”… reading is such a wonderful hobby!
So glad to see you used one of your CTMH stamps and great idea to use for a bookmark tag… colors great and love it.
I am an avid reader, so this bookmark really hits home for me. I love that image and the colors you chose! Cuddling up with a book is my favorite way to end the day.
My mom is in two book groups! I’m always making her bookmarks! I LOVE this one!
Melanie this is an adorable bookmark! I love that image and the colors you chose 🙂
I agree. It’s great to cuddle up with a book. My daughter also used to always have a book in her hand. Great bookmark.
Love the stamp and your bookmark. While I don’t have the time to read that I used to, I find that audio books in the car get some book time in.
haha This sentiment reminds me of the stack of books I have to read right now! Hubby just commented on that yesterday. Well, some of us love to read! Your bookmark is really pretty. I love the black BG to make the pretty teal & blue pop off the page.
Such an appropriate book marker, Melanie, and so cute, too. Love the scalloped borders and the cheery colors you used, and the ribbon that will extend atop the book. I’ve a marker now that I’ve used for years and is beginning to look shaggy, so may have to craft me up a new one soon. Some days, I have a hard time deciding whether I want to craft or read! Hope you have a good stock of books on your shelf to cover 2022!
Who doesn’t love to cuddle up under a quilt with a book? (And maybe a cat or two!!)
Lovely coloring and sweet bookmark.
Thank you for the chance to win your blog candy!
Happy #100 Challenge!!

Melanie,
great book mark. Thank you so much for sharing with us at Bitten by the Bug for our final challenge.
A book is a fab cuddle pal and such a true sentiment for those who love to read. Lovely image and colouring on this bookmark.
