Send a Smile 4 Kids – Something New – Or Old!

Hello! I have a card to share today that is for the new challenge starting at the Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge. This is a wonderful monthly challenge that encourages participants to donate hand made cards that are distributed for children who are spending time in the hospital. If you would like to read more about what they do check out the details here.

This month the challenge is to create a card using something new, or give some attention to something old!  But remember, you are also free to link up any kid-appropriate card. Be sure to check out the challenge blog for some great ideas and inspiration from the rest of the design team!

The Quick and Simple Details:

  • Image from My Favorite Things, this is an older image from the Pure Innocence collection
  • Colored with Copic markers
  • Paper pieced the dress and shorts
  • Used glittery embossing paste through a stencil for hearts on the background

  1. Hi, Melanie! Happy 2025! What a sweet card… and there are so many details that make it extra sweet. Love that you paper pieced their outfits… and that you stenciled with some glittery embossing powder for a touch of sparkle. Paper piecing and sparkle! Who could ask for anything more?!
