Send a Smile 4 Kids – Happy Holidays

Hello! I have a card to share today that is for the new challenge starting at the Send A Smile 4 Kids Challenge. This is a wonderful monthly challenge that encourages participants to donate hand made cards that are distributed for children who are spending time in the hospital. If you would like to read more about what they do check out the details here.

This month the challenge is to create a kid’s Happy Holidays themed card, but you are also free to link up any kid-appropriate card. Be sure to check out the challenge blog for some great ideas and inspiration from the rest of the design team!

The Quick and Simple Details:

  • Covered background that was made with embossing paste through snowflake stencil
  • Penguin stamps from Sunny Studio, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut
  • Happy Holidays banner also from Waffle Flower
  • Added glitter to hats for a little extra sparkle

  1. Hi, Melanie! This is delightful. DELIGHTFUL! Can only imagine the huge smile this would bring to a little face. So, let me get this straight. You used multiple postage stamp dies to create this frame? This isn’t a stand-alone cover frame? Are you serious? That is amazing! Every month I am so thankful that you joined our SAS4Kids DT. You are uber talented!

  2. Adorable penguins and I love how you used the Postage Collage die. I’ve never seen this die used this way and it creates an entirely different look. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas challenge this month.

  3. Oh WOW what an incredible card on so many levels and definitely the COOLEST (in every sense lol) take on the postage panel trend that I’ve seen; I love the way the critters and embellies are popping right out of their windows to interact! So happy you joined our celebration of holiday critters at Jingle Belles!
