Double Trouble #168

Time for the start of challenge #168 over at Double Trouble! It’s also the start of a new challenge at Colorful Options Challenge, where I am so happy to being featured as a guest designer this month!

For our challenge Thing 1 asking you to create a masculine card. As long as you do that you can enter the challenge.

Thing 3 is asking you to take it a step further, and join in the color challenge taking place at Colorful Options, either using primarily shades of aqua, or a rainbow of colors. The mood board below will give you some inspiration.

Thing 2 says if you completed both challenges you can also link up at Colorful Options.

The Quick and Simple Details:

  • Background stenciled with matte embossing paste and sprinkled with glitter
  • Image from Stampin’ Up! set “Sailing Home”
  • Sentiment from Taylored Expressions
  • Anchor discovered in my “bits and pieces” drawer

  2. What a great stenciled background, and it has the appearance of the rays of light from the lighthouse. Nice stamp of the lighthouse and love the little anchor you added. Beautiful, and masculine, card.

  3. So lovely to have you as guest designer this month and with such a fabulous card. I love the stenciled background gives such wonderful texture and works beautifully with that gorgeous stamp.

  5. Melanie, I LOVE your background that you created with embossing paste! When I first saw it I thought it was a pretty pattern paper that texture and depth… but when I read your description, I was blown away! I have GOT to get my paste out and do some experiments with it! -Donna
