Can You Handle the Pressure has a new challenge starting today! This challenge requires that you must use an embossing folder while creating your card. The theme is always “anything goes, ” however there’s also an optional twist you can play along with each time if you want. For this challenge the optional twist is “holly.”
The background of my card was made with a folder from Taylored Expressions, called “Holly” (no surprise there!) I don’t know where the holly image I used is from, it’s an old wood stamp I’ve had around forever but for some reason (?) never actually used! The black frame is part of the stamp, but I cut around it and the overhanging leaves so it appears as if the leaves are on top of the frame. I colored with Copic marker and to finish it of I added some glitter to the berries to give them some sparkle!
Additional Challenges:
Tic Tac Toe Challenge #238 – top row (December holiday, winter foliage, red or green)
CAS Colours and Sketches #527 – Seasonal Challenge (using past sketch #514)
Inkspirational #304 – add glitter
NBUS (Never Been Used Schtuff) #57 – include anything from your stash that you’ve never used before

Beautiful, embossed card! Happy Holidays!
Great fussy-cutting around that holly and frame, Melanie, and awesome coloring! It looks great with the scalloping and the texture of that holly e/f and I love the schparkle on the berries! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Happy Holiday Hugs! Darnell
This is a gorgeous design with a traditional feel. Love the embossed holly pattern and that stamp is a true treasure. Thanks for joining our challenge at Inkspirational.
Your stamp coordinates so well with the embossing folder you chose! It’s a lovely card and I’m so glad you shared it with us at CC&S! 🙂
