There’s a new challenge starting today at Simply Clean & Simple, where the theme is always “anything goes” – as long as it follows the Clean & Simple style. To add a little more fun there is also an optional twist you can play along with, and for this month it is “red and green.”
In general a clean and simple card has a lot of white (or open) space, one main focal point or image, clean lines, and minimal layers and embellishments. Of course there’s always some room for interpretation, but as a general rule, less is more when it comes to CAS!
My ornaments were made by layering some inks and stenciling until I eventually got the look I wanted. I used some red with various shades of green, but it ended up looking more blue once they were all put together! When I thought it looked good I die cut the ornaments. I used part of a stencil to make the background.
Additional Challenges:
CRAFT Challenge #700 – Christmas
Little Red Wagon #733 – Bohemian Rhapsody (include three different elements – ink layering, stenciling, die cutting)
CAS on Friday #271 – Christmas
Lovely – love the hint of stencilling in the background!
Very lovely and creative, the small amount of stenciling is the perfect placement for your ornaments, love it!!
OH WOW … those ornaments are just beautiful and LOVE the stenciling in the background … just perfect! Well done!
Those baubles are so very cute x
Fabulous design! The die cut ornaments look fantastic over the stenciling.
Thanks for joining us for our “Bohemian Rhapsody” challenge at Little Red Wagon this week!
