Can You Handle the Pressure has a new challenge starting today! This challenge requires that you must use an embossing folder while creating your card. The theme is always “anything goes, ” however there’s also an optional twist you can play along with each time if you want. For this challenge the optional twist is “vines/greetery.”
The folder I chose is from Taylored Expressions (“Leafy Vine”). I tend to reach for this one a lot! To add a little more dimension I lightly brushed the raised areas with some white ink. I used my Distress Water Color pencils for coloring the image, which is all one stamp. To keep consistent with the distressed look of the image I tore the edges of the paper instead of cutting it. A few water drop embellishments were added to finish it off.
Joining in these additional challenges:
Pammie’s Inky Pinkies #2342 – anything goes
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – anything goes
Seize the Birthday #272 – anything goes (No topping)
Creative Fingers #264 – anything goes
Oh my super gorgeous panel. Love the colors.
It’s a gorgeous card and I can see why you reach for the EB folder a lot, it’s a beauty and the florals look just like a beautiful water colored painting!!

Hi Melanie, This is such a pretty card. Love the watercolored flowers and that EF background has so much dimension. White ink surely does some magic, doesn’t it! Thanks for joining us at Seize the Birthday!
I just love how this turned out. That watercolor-y look is so fabulous. I haven’t done this technique in a long time and I need to try it again. Thanks for the inspiration!!
