Saw the new challenge at Double D where they are looking for a card with any theme, however your design must include the use of a stencil. This made me want to get out one of my stencils, but for more inspiration I looked around and decided to play along with the challenge at the Paper Players #651, which is a tic-tac-toe board. (I used the first column – flowers, feminine, and blue)
I first made a water washed background in blue. I’m not sure who makes the stencil, but I used it with some white matte embossing paste, and while wet sprinkled it with some clear glitter.
I tied some twine around the panel, then framed it with a scallop edged die. The sentiment is layered and adhered to some vellum.
Would like to join in these additional challenges:
Inkspirational #295 – also looking for the use of a stencil
Little Red Wagon #716 – Multi-purpose (create a card that is not for a specific reason or holiday)
Your background is just beautiful!
A beautifully designed card!!
Thank you for joining our challenge at Double D!

A beautiful card, Melanie! The textured stenciling is gorgeous. I love the scalloped edge. and the fabulous bold sentiment. Thank you for playing with The Paper Players this week!
Beautiful card! I love all the different layers! Thanks for playing over at The Paper Players Challenge.
So very pretty! The pasted stencilling looks fabulous and the vellum behind the word die is a great touch too!
Thanks for joining us for our “multipurpose” challenge at Little Red Wagon this week! We’re delighted that you chose to play along!
