It’s Festive Friday! We have a new challenge starting today, and this time our festivity is “International Beer Day.” We used that to come up with ten items for our Inspo List, and if you would like to join the challenge just choose any 3 (or more) of those items to use on your card or project. Whether or not you follow the theme of the festivity is totally up to you!
The items I used for my project were brown, gold, fun fold, beer, bottles. This is actually a style of box card that folds flat to fit in an envelope.
A friend of mine somehow talked me into buying a Silhouette electronic cutter quite a few years ago (unfortunately I still haven’t learned how to use it). However, in her attempt to teach me she helped me buy a file to make my husband a beer themed card (he occasionally brews his own beer). I have to confess this is the only real project I’ve ever completed with that machine! At the time I cut several different colors and used different papers, so the festivity for this challenge motivated me to finish them. The assembly is the easy and fun part, using that Silhouette machine is just not my thing!

Well, Melanie – it was worth getting out your cutting machine! My father and brother would have loved this card – its a work of art. Mind you, they would have wanted to know when the real bottles were arriving :-). I love that it folds flat into the envelope and pops. Genius!
