It’s the first challenge starting today at a brand new challenge blog, Simply Clean & Simple, where the theme is always “anything goes” – as long as it follows the Clean & Simple style. To add a little more fun there is also an optional twist you can play along with, and for this month it is “Roses are Red, Violets are Blue.”
In general a clean and simple card has a lot of white (or open) space, one main focal point or image, clean lines, and minimal layers and embellishments. Of course there’s always some room for interpretation, but as a general rule, less is more when it comes to CAS designs!
I used a die cut by Pink Fresh Studios, and lightly inked the pieces before inlaying them back into the die. I also used an arched die from Spellbinders (once on each end of the card base) to create the oval shaped card. I finished it off with a simple sentiment.
Please come on over to Simply Clean & Simple to check out the rest of the design team’s creations and to join in our first challenge!
