It’s Festive Friday! We have a new challenge starting today, and this time our festivity is “Global Forgiveness Day.” We used that to come up with ten items for our Inspo List, and if you would like to join the challenge just choose any 3 (or more) of those items to use on your card or project. Whether or not you follow the theme of the festivity is totally up to you!
The items I chose from the Inspo List were green, blue, background stamp, sorry sentiment, and maps/globes. I started out by stamping and coloring the floral image, then fussy cutting it. I didn’t like the white border around it so I colored it with a color similar to the background so it would blend in better. I used some new arch dies from Spellbinders to mount it on.
The large background was made with a stamp from Stampin’ Up, but before stamping it I scored the card stock with 3/4″ squares. I was trying to get the look of tile, I guess it shows up a little, but not quite what I had in mind (as often is the case!) However I still liked the subtle texture and the print so decided to use it anyway.

That’s so lovely!
Hi Melanie, I love your card (just my type-LIM) are there any dimensions for it please? Cheers and Thankyou, Marilyn.
What a great card Melanie. I love how you used the faux tile technique
Melanie, those convulvus are fabulous and I love that you put them in an arched frame. So much wonderful texture on the base, too. Fabulous card
