I’m very happy to join the next two challenges at Cut It Up! as a guest designer. This is a wonderful challenge which has a different theme each time, as well as the requirement that you must include die cuts on your card or project. The current challenge (#275) is to use something starting with “B.”
I ended up with two things on my card starting with B – birdcage and butterfly. I started with making the background by smooshing the paper in some watered down ink. When it was dry I stamped the black on it, then used some translucent embossing paste colored with a little blue ink to stencil on the faint circles. I die cut all the rest of the pieces, and adhered them to the card.
I am not really very confident in the mixed media style, and even though this didn’t really turn out as I had envisioned, I am kind of surprised how much I like it!
Joining in these additional challenges:
Triple B – Birds, Blooms, and/or Butterflies
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge – add texture
Fab ‘n’ Funky #570 – use die cuts
Crafty Calendar Challenge – use die cuts
Congrats on the Guest Designer spot! This is AWESOME! Love everything about it! What a beautiful design! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our newest adventure – Triple B challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
