We are starting a new challenge over at the Paper Funday Challenge today. This is always an “anything goes” challenge, but there’s also an optional twist you can play along with too. This month the optional twist is “You’re Brew-tiful.”
This month we also have two sponsors, Verada Sharma and StarStampz. The image I used is from Verada Sharma and is called “Forget Me Not.”
I think my most favorite technique, or maybe just favorite thing to do when making cards, is coloring with alcohol ink markers, which I did on this image. I made the wood grain background by scoring the base and then swiping an inkpad over it. A few splatters were stamped on to give it a little more texture.
I didn’t want to fussy cut the image because of all the small details, so instead I tore around it and then blended a little ink so it would transition to the background a little better.
For some more inspiration and to enter the challenge please visit the Paper Funday Challenge blog!
Joining these additional challenges:
Kraftin’ Kimmie’s #665 – red
Tic Tac Toe Challenge #198 – diagonal (bright colors, free, sympathy)
As always, a beautiful card for the Paper Funday Challenge Melanie. I love the woodgrain background and the torn, rustic edges of the focal panel.
πππthis!! I saw this at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and came by for a closer look. I would love you to come and play with us at Park Hopping My Happy Place Challenge. Your card reminds me of the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot, Disneyworld, FL. I hope you’ll join the fun! Have a creative week. Melanie those bright red flowers are stunning and perfectly coloured and I love the way you created your background too. Thanks for sharing with us over at TicTacToe this week!
