Hope you’re ready for a fun new challenge over at Double Trouble! For challenge #131 the only requirement to enter is to include something that goes with the theme “love is in the air” (can be anything you find in the air – bird, butterfly, plane, cloud, etc.) and/or a Valentine’s theme.
The optional challenge by Thing 3 is to use the sketch from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday (#593) for the design of your card. If you do that Thing 2 dares you to enter your card in their challenge as well.
You can see a summary of the challenge and the sketch below:
I recently saw some cards on Facebook that used paper strips to make a trellis so I decided to give it a try for my card. It’s not very difficult and gives a somewhat unique look. I paired it with some stamps from Your Next Stamp and used the sketch to plan my design.

Really love the trellis you put together, nice dimensional background for your little chick floating up-side-down being lifted by the heart balloosn… adorable. Love the sentiment too.
Melanie, love your take on the TSOT sketch… that little bird in the lower left corner is a fun addition! I’ve been seeing those paper strip trellis’ as well. You did a great job recreating them from scratch!! Love all the details you’ve “woven” into your card!!! -Donna

I love that trellis with the paper strips! And framing it with that cute stitched scallop made it a darling feature on your card. Turned out awesome! 🙂
