Today I have a card to share that was made for the Alphabet Challenge. Every two weeks a new challenge starts with a new theme that starts with the next letter of the alphabet. This time we are on the letter B, and the theme to go with it is “blooms.”
My normal style does not have a mixed media feel, but I do like to use some common mixed media ideas on my cards. For this one I used some embossing paste with a stencil to add some texture. I also did some paint splattering. The flowers and leaves were cut from some alcohol ink scraps I had left from an earlier card.
Playing along at these additional challenges:
Challenge Up Your Life #146 – Splatters
As You Like It – Florals or Cute? As much as I love making cute cards (especially with dogs on them!) my favorite thing to include on my cards is flowers. They are by far one of the most popular images to find, fun to color, and make beautiful cards!
Cardz 4 Gals #171 – Think Pink!
Creations in Pink #45 – anything goes with mostly pink
Aud Sentiments #293 – anything with a birthday sentiment
That background works so well Melanie, and I love the alcohol ink effect on your flowers xx
