Today’s card is for the new challenge starting at Make the Cards Challenge (#53) . This time we have a technique challenge – create your own ink blended background.

The inks I chose to use were alcohol inks. Of course you are free to use any kind of ink or blending technique you wish. If you haven’t played with alcohol inks it can be really addictive! You do need some special paper and some solution, but if it’s something you are interested in trying I would suggest visiting Jennifer McGuire’s website. She has quite a few videos showing the basics as well as some specialized techniques that are just for alcohol inks.

I didn’t want to cover the background so I just simply cut out a full sized panel and added a simple die cut sentiment.
