Hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend, now it’s Monday and time to start a new challenge over at Double Trouble! This time we have a fun and easy challenge for you (#108) – Frame It!
To join the challenge all you need to do is meet the requirement of Thing 1, and that is to use a metal die to frame a sentiment or image. If you want to go a little further and meet the requirement of Thing 3 then all you need to do is include either flowers and/or butterflies on your card or project. Finally, our challenges always include a Double Dare by Thing 2, which is to play along at a partner challenge. For this challenge we are joining with Dies R Us (#191) If you have met the requirements of Thing 1 and Thing 3 you qualify to join in there too.
The dies I chose to frame my sentiment with and also for the border are from Spellbinders, from the Hemstitch series. The sentiment is from Divinity Designs, and finally, the flowers were cut from some alcohol ink backgrounds I previously made, with dies from the latest kit at My Favorite Things.
Playing along at these additional challenges:
CRAFT Challenge #634 – spring/Easter
Seize the Birthday #236 – anything goes for Birthday w/opt. spring
Daisy Chain Challenge #62 – Birthday
Those alcohol inked flowers are beautiful against the grey background – nice work 🙂
Those flowers really pop against that background.
Thank you so much for entering our challenge this week at CRAFT Challenge looking forward to see you again next challenge.
Hugs Sheryl CRAFT DT xx
Oh my! We really were on the same page when we created our cards. I love the flowers! I don’t own any alcohol inks but I admire the beautiful colors they create. Lovely card!
Melanie, love all the bright spring colors you used for the flowers… I’d never thought of using alcohol inked paper to create customized paper for die cutting! I REALLY like the paper you used for your background… so lightly inked geometrics as a foil for the flowers to bloom upon!! Is your paper stamped or a pattern one? -Donna
That paper is printed like that, but I have a stencil that is almost identical!
Wow, how bright and love the technique you used on your floral encircling the frame… beautifully card.
Ooh, those alcohol ink flowers look fabulous! Thanks for playing along with us at Seize The Birthday 🥳
Melanie this is so pretty! I love those pierced dies and those bright flowers! Such a beautiful Happy Birthday card! 🙂
Melanie, those flowers you crafted are so eye catching! I love this card! Thanks so much for joining us at Dies R Us Challenges. Julie, DT member
