Hello! We have a new challenge at Make the Cards that starts today. This time we are looking for a card that focuses on using GREEN as your main color. We are now a 2 week challenge, so we hope you will have more time to join our gallery with your own card!
I started by heat embossing a background stamp from Stampin’ Up called Something Lacey. It has a lot of detail so it turned out to have quite a bit of dimentiosn. I used Zig water color markers to add random shades of green to fill in the white space. I then colored and cut out a floral image (Newton’s Nook) to place on a green oval. I heat embossed the white sentiment to finish it off, even though it’s still a little early for spring!
I would like to join these additional challenges:
Cupcake Inspirations #538 – anything goes
Try it on Tuesday – add some texture
Crafter’s Cafe #282 – Make your own background
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – anything goes
Oh Mel this is just awesome! LOVE the background and your focus lily is just beautiful! Fabulous inspiration my friend … thanks!
