The Paper Funday Challenge has a new challenge starting today. You can enter anything you want since we always have an “anything goes” theme, but if you would like to play along with the optional twist, this month it is “hugs and kisses.”

One of our sponsors this month is All Dressed Up Stamps. I chose to use an image called Little Birdie, I thought it was so cute for a Valentine’s card! I started by doing a stencil technique where you ink the stencil, mist it with some water, and then put it on some paper. This leaves the open part of the stencil show without any ink. It doesn’t work too good with a detailed stencil because the water will run together, but with something like the heart stencil I used it makes a nice water colored background. When the background was dry I added the layers and image I had already colored and die cut. A few colored pearls finished it off.
