Time for a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, we are on #458, and you can see the sketch below.
To create the background I used a cover plate die, which is from Altenew. It’s one of a three part of a set, but I only have one layer. (That’s what happens when you find a really good deal and later realize it’s because its only 1 of the 3 pieces!) However, by off-setting the die it still achieves the look of plaid, so maybe not such a bad deal after all!
The flowers are from two of my favorite Stampin’ Up sets – Petite Petals and Flower Shop. Both were stamped with distress oxide inks and then heat embossed with clear powder.
I was inspired by two other challenges, Just Us Girls #617 – use plaid, and the Paper Players #576 – Tic Tac Toe, where I went with the diagonal with die cut, flower, and birthday.
Love how you used the cover plate here for our Plaid Challenge Melanie and I recognized those pretty flowers. A favourite of mine also. Thanks for sharing with us at JUGS this week.
Love the pop of floral pink against that beautifully layered coverplate. Thanks for playing TicTacToe with us over at The Paper Players this week!
Oh WOW! I love the layered cover plate! Soooo gorgeous and your beautiful pink flowers just pop off all that glitter! SO happy you joined us at The Paper Players this week!
Your plaid is just wonderful…so many pretty colors on this card.
