My card today is a mini-slimline card that I made for the challenge starting over at Cardz 4 Guys (#284). The theme for this challenge is to use checks, plaid, or gingham on your card, and of course, make sure it is suitable for a guy!
The QUICK and SIMPLE details for my card: This gnome die cut came in a kit from Simon Says Stamp a few years ago, but I have used it more than any other gnome image I have. Really when it comes to gnomes I don’t find most of them to be what I would call cute, but I do like this one! I used some plaid print papers from Stampin’ Up, and a sentiment from a company called Woodware out of the UK. The background folder is from Richard Garay, which I brushed over with some white ink. I finished it off with some coordinating twine, but instead of a bow I tried to keep it more masculine by just tying a knot and fraying the ends.

Your plaid gnomes are so stinking cute!! They are great inspiration to those who play along with us…you totally rocked our gingham, checks, or plaids challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz!!
I love this style of gnome! That background embossing is super and really suits your card. I’m not very good at incorporating dry embossing so it’s always nice to get some inspiration on this! Thanks for playing along with The Male Room. X
Oh Mel I just LOVE these guys! What a fun creation! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Peace On Earth Christmas challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often. We appreciate your support on our new challenge adventure!!

Melanie… so wonderful to see you in the gallery! Loving these gnomes and the sentiment is perfect (will check out Woodware). The plaid papers are great (and so hard to find)… as is the embossed background. Since it is a mini slimline, I am assuming you were able to use a regular EF. (Do they even make EF for full size slimline cards? I am just getting into this slimline craze.) Have an absolutely wonderful holiday! Again thanks so much for joining and sharing at Just Us Girls!
A fun card with the cute gnomes and I love your embossing folder too. Thanks for joining us at Allsorts in our Christmas challenge.

Super cute! I do love all the gnomes and have a few I haven’t colored yet. It’s the whimsy and fun of them that’s so cute. Your embossed background is fabulous with the white brushed on. Also, I’m a Woodware fan. Love everything about your card. Thank you for sharing with us at Peace on Earth!
