It has been raining all day here, which is almost unheard of where I live in Arizona, so I had nothing else to do other than work on a few cards!
This card was the result of two challenges: Just Us Girls #594 (photo challenge) and Retro Rubber #163 (tic-tac-toe). I used the first column – masculine, embossing, and stripes. The left half is old Stampin’ Up paper from my stash, the other half was made from a striped background stamp from My Favorite Things (I’ve had that one several years.) The anchor was stamped and heat embossed with silver, that is also from Stampin’ Up, as are the rope and wheel dies.
This card was the result of the new challenge that just started at AAA Cards #195 (on the edge w/option of including dry embossing), the challenge at Make My Monday #153 (trees), the Cutie Pie Challenge #161 (paper piecing). Since there are a lot of Christmas in July themes going on I would also like to join in at The House That Stamps Built #J2121 and The Male Room #152.
Aww pretty row of trees along the edge, perfectly backed by embossed snow. Thank you for playing at the Male Room Challenges and the AAA Cards Challenges.
Melanie, Such a great nautical inspired card! I love the mix of papers and the wheel and anchor die. You have reminded me that I need to get a wheel die to add to my inventory! So happy to see you in the gallery at Just Us Girls.
Great card for this week’s challenge! Thanks for sharing it!
Great choice of embossing to complement the trees. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenges too. Stay safe and keep crafting!
Fab cards, I love them both! Don’t forget to add our challenge graphic to be eligible for votes. Thanks for playing along with The Male Room. X

Gorgeous combination of embossing and paper piecing, great idea. Thank you for joining The Male Room Christmas challenge, I hope you’ll also join our Birthday party challenge.
Ok, so when I read your post title, I thought it said Nautical Christmas and I was kind of curious to see how you paired an anchor with a Christmas theme. Then I looked and actually saw what you said; it made a lot more sense then. : ) Anyway, two fabulous card! Nautical themes always seem a good fit for birthday cards, specially for me. And I love the simplicity of your Christmas card; the embossed portion looks great! Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.
Love your Christmas design – very elegant.
