Two monthly challenges are starting today, and the themes work together perfectly for using this new snowflake stamp. At Sparkles Christmas Challenge (#126) the theme is “Snowflakes – more than one.” The challenge over at Stinkin’ Inkers for July is “Let the Sparks Fly – use glitter, gems, sequins, etc. Please check out the blogs for all of the details, there’s lots of time to play along with both of these challenges!

The QUICK and SIMPLE details: The snowflake stamp is a background stamp made by Stampendous. I heat embossed with silver on two white pieces of card stock, then used some distress oxide inks to color the background on one. I used the other one to cut out two of the snowflakes, leaving them white. They were then raised up on top of the colored background. I spritzed the whole thing with some shimmery mist, and then splattered a little white paint. To add some more sparkle I used some rhinestones in the centers of the snowflakes.
