I had a little extra time this morning to get out some crafty things I have been wanting to play with so to get some ideas I looked at some current challenges. I started with the sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches #423. I had already decided I wanted to use embossing paste with an NBU (never-been-used) stencil and the challenge at Less Is More #444 is asking for your favorite technique. Since that is something I have really been loving the results of lately I thought I would play along there too.
The QUICK and SIMPLE details: Stenciled embossing paste (colored with a little blue ink) over wavy stencil, sprinkled with glitter while still wet, colored and cut out images from Lawn Fawn set “Fintastic Friends,” sentiment from My Favorite Things.
Additional Challenges:
Lawn Fawnatics #102 – All Things Ocean
Little Red Wagon #605 – Make it CAS!
As You Like It Challenge – CAS or Fully Fancy? – Although I like the look of “fully fancy” cards, my tendency is to create more of a clean and simple design. I like the image to be the focal point and I like the look of white space so that the image stands out.
What a cute card! I adore that punny sentiment. Thanks for joining us at Little Red Wagon.
Super cute – love this 😀. Happy and creative wishes! Hugs, Jo x
