Hello! It’s Friday, an d ther’s a new challenge over at Festive Friday (#FF0085) starting today. This time the festivity is National Flag Week, and that is what we used to come up with the Inspo List. It has 10 items to choose from as inspiration for creating a card or project. The fun part is that you can choose to reflect the festivity in your creation, but you don’t have to! As long as you include at least 3 of the items from the list you can enter the challenge. If you visit the blogs of the other design team members (links below) you can see some great ideas that use the list, some with and some without the festivity displayed.
My card includes stars, stripes, and rectangles from the list. I used a die cut from My Favorite Things to cut out the frame, then used it again to cut out the four rectangles that were inlayed into the frame. I did a little heat embossing for the sentiment and gold stars, and just added some simple stitched die cuts to go over the red and striped rectangles. This card came together pretty quickly, and I thought it would be a good design to change up for any occasion and with any colors in the future!

I love your design. The the opposing rectangles in red, white and blue and gold embossing balance it out so well. Wonderful card for this occasion!
fab card!
Love this card! Great layout!
Love this cheery card Melanie! It reminds me of a framed photo collage, or a shadow box. And what a nice sentiment!
Fabulous, Melanie! I love the rectangles…and the designs you have included in each. A perfect card for this challenge!
