My month as the guest designer at CAS Colours & Sketches is coming to an end, but I had a great time playing in their challenges. I especially loved the sketch for today’s new challenge (#417) because I thought it worked well with this stamp from Rubberneckers that has been sitting in my pile of new stuff waiting to get used for months!
I started by stamping the image on a diagonal, then added two more lines to mimic the sketch. They needed something more than just simple lines, so I masked one side of the lines and lightly blended some matching ink to give them a little definition. I colored the birds with Copic markers, and found a sentiment that seemed very fitting for that one upside down bird. I finished by die cutting the panel to fit over the card base.
I would like to play along in these other challenges:
Country View Challenges – the birds and the bees
Creative Craft Cottage #139 – include an animal
NBUS Challenge #25 – use something new (the stamp)
Stamplorations April CAS Challenge – anything goes CAS
