Hello! It was my turn to choose the theme for the new challenge at the Alphabet Challenge. We are on the letter B so I chose a theme of “bird.” This challenge goes for two weeks, so if you would like to link up a card or project please visit the blog for all the details!
I chose a stamp that was from Hobby Lobby (Stampabilities “Cherry Blossom”) that I had never used before. I colored the image and die cut it with a scallop edged rectangle. I found a sentiment that fit well in the open white space. I used some patterned paper as a background, something simple that would let the image stand out. I added a little clear shimmer over the flowers and some glossy accents on the birds eye and that was all there was to it!

Such a pretty Mother’s Day card, Melanie! I just love the beautiful bird you colored, and the cherry blossoms are so pretty! Great choice for a theme. Hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks for choosing such a lovely theme. I love your pretty card. Cherry Blossom is one of my favourites. Love Dawn x
This really is a beautiful spring card, the blooming branches are such a great addition to the bird theme. I love to see the blooming cherry trees every year. The background is perfect, it complements the image in a subtle way without taking anything away from the scene. The glossy bird’s eye looks so realistic that I can’t help feeling like the guy is staring right at me – and it’s a very judgmental look, too 🙂
Hugs, Veronika
