World Laughter Day is the festivity for the new challenge starting today at Festive Friday Challenge (#FF0082). We came up with a list of 10 items that were inspired by the festivity, but to join in the challenge all you need to do is make a card or project that uses any 3 (or more) of the items with any theme you want. Whether you represent World Laughter Day is totally up to you!
The items I chose from the list were yellow, aperture (window) card, and sequins. The rose stamps are from a Stampin’ Up set called “Healing Hugs,” and the paper is also from Stampin’ Up. I have to confess it has been in my stash so long I have no idea what it’s called or when I got it! I just loved how it looked with the yellow.
When the card is closed you can see the rose from the inside through the window, but to give it a little different look I used a piece of mesh fabric to cover the opening. ( I just cut a square that I adhered between the base and the patterned paper.) Below you can see a little better how that mesh looks, it has a kind of shiny finish and some very fine glitter in it, unfortunately hard to see in the photo.

I have that same wonderful pink DSP in my stash too, and it has been there a loooooooong time. I love your card. Love the mesh – brilliant idea.
Love the yellow roses. Your window is great and what a clever idea to use the mesh!
Very lovely window card indeed!! Thanks for linking up to our April Challenge gallery at Die Cut Divas.
What a beautiful card, Melanie! The window with mesh is a great idea!
I like the different patterns and forms (octagon, rectangle & rounded) you used in your card – everything worked cohesively. Lovely card. So glad you joined us at Die Cut Divas for our aperture/window card challenge.
What a pretty card you have created. I like the “screen” you have for your window. It adds a bit of sparkle to your card. Thanks for joining us at Die Cut Divas.
