Welcome! I was happy to see the new challenge starting today at the Alphabet Challenge is featuring the letter Z and has a theme of “zoology.” One thing I have a lot of is animal stamps!
When I was trying to think of a way to make my card fit in with the idea of a zoo I came up with using a frame die cut and added some skinny strips to make some bars. I used stamps from a set by My Favorite Things called “Lions and Tigers” that has been in my collection for at least two or three years. I colored them with Copic markers, cut them out, and arranged them behind my zoo exhibit with some leaf die cuts.
Other challenges this card was inspired by:
The Paper Players #533 – Clean and Simple w/animal theme
Inkspirational #235 – Fur or feathers
Retro Rubber #154 – anything goes – used set from My Favorite Things that I have had two or three years
Brilliant combination of images and sentiment
This is just too cute, Melanie! Who can resist these little faces! Adding the skinny strips to form the cage was so clever! I am so happy you shared with The Paper Players!
This is such a great card Melanie! I love how you created the cage and those big cats are perfect with the addition of the leafy die cuts! Take care!
