My card was designed for the new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#408), I’m not sure if it was meant to be a slimline card, but that’s how I saw it so that’s what I made! This is a weekly challenge, and if you would like to show off your interpretation of this sketch please join our gallery by Sunday, 2/21.
I often look around for other challenges to help give me ideas. I hate to admit it, but I have so many “supplies” it can be over whelming to pick just what I am in the mood to use. Challenges help narrow it down and give me some direction. I used the prompt from the Paper Players (#528) to help choose my color scheme.
To create the center of my card I used a border die by Paper Rose, but had to do it twice since it is only the length of a A2 sized card. Luckily the sentiment covers up where the edges come together!
Other challenges I’d like to enter:
Just Us Girls #571– Slimline Card
Dies R Us #163 – Anything goes with dies – Border die by Paper Rose
I have so many supplies that I use challenges in exactly the same way! I need the help to narrow it all down! Your slimline is perfect for both challenges! I like how you made the diecut work for the longer layout; I was thinking to myself how cool to have a longer die like that! lol! Beautiful use of the colors! Thanks for sharing at The Paper Players!
Wow, Melanie! This slimline die cut is gorgeous! You used the challenge colors perfectly. I LOVE the sentiment. It’s bold and sparkly and steals the show! Thank you for playing with The Paper Players!
Stunning card, I am in love with your background die! It totally makes the card.
Melanie, I love the shadow you created on the sentiment and that background die is fabulous! A wonderful slimline card. So glad you joined us at the Paper Players this week
