Hello and thanks for stopping by! Today I am sharing a card I made as a guest designer for the AAA Birthday Challenge (#21) – where the challenge this month is to make a stenciled background, and of course it must be a birthday card!
To start off I stamped and colored the flower image with Copic markers. This is a newer set from Pink and Main, I usually don’t buy the die cuts, but these had some intricate middles I knew would be hard to fussy cut.
To make the background I got out one of my favorite stencils and used some glittery embossing paste with it. Besides adding quite a bit of sparkle it added some extra dimension too. Since this is kind of messy I made a few more backgrounds with different stencils, so you may be seeing them in some future posts!
If you would like to join in at the AAA Birthday Challenge with a card to show off your own stenciled background the link up will be open for the whole month!
Pretty flower, love the shimmer from the stencilled background
