Always Fun Challenge #180 is to create a scene, and I decided to go with an underwater scene. My favorite part of this card though is really the background! I heat embossed a stamp from Simon Says Stamp with white embossing powder, then using some distress oxide ink that was spritzed with water I “smooshed” the paper in it to add the color.
I then die cut a piece of purple card stock with a die cut from My Favorite Things to make the frame and again on my background piece. Finally I inlaid the background pieces into the frame. I colored and cut out my images to create the scene.
Additional challenges I would like to enter:
Crafty Catz #518 – Anything goes with optional twist of gems or glitter
Moving Along With the Times #122 – Create a Scene
My Time to Craft #440 – wet or dry embossing
Dream Valley Challenges #232 – also wet or dry embossing
This is super! I love it!
