I wanted to make a fun card today and since I just got this new monkey set (and leaf dies) from Pretty Pink Posh, I thought it would be a good choice to work with. There isn’t really anything tricky about this card, I did a little paper piecing over the monkey’s face and ice cream cone, and added some black Nuvo over the eyes. I think curling the leaves a little also added a lot of extra dimension.
I used several different challenges as inspiration for my card. The first was Cut It Up, (#205) where the theme is “Ice Cream.” I know it’s just a little image, but the monkey’s hands were just perfect to hold it!
I used the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches (#381), even though I did change it up a bit!
Finally I used the color challenge from Inspire.Create.Challenges (#74) which are the new In Colors from Stampin’ Up.
I would also like to enter this card in the Anything Goes Challenge at Watercooler Wednesday (#282).
