It’s time to celebrate Christmas in July with the Things from Double Trouble! The new challenge runs from July 20 to August 3. You can see the abbreviated challenge guidelines below, or go to the Double Trouble Challenge Blog to see all the details.
Thing 1 requires a Christmas theme, which is the only thing needed to enter the challenge. If you wish to play along with Thing 3, the optional twist is to use an elf or gnome on your card. The Double Dare from Thing 2 is to enter your card in the challenge at Heart2Heart, in which case you must also tell about and use your favorite tool. I had no trouble deciding that my favorite tool is my die cut machine, which I used on this card to die cut the grassy hill, and to emboss the foil background.
The gnome is a stamp from Rubberneckers, and the presents and tree are from a My Favorite Things set. I colored them with Copic markers then cut them out.
Don’t forget our partner challenge!
What an eye-catching card, Melanie! I like that you used traditional colors and the silver background really pops.
What a cute scene – and that background… wow! Great card, Melanie!
That foil embossed background is gorgeous and love the little Christmas scene you created.
adorable card.
That shimmer background is amazing! What a cute Christmas card and your coloring is great! 🙂
Melanie – your card is great!! You did a fantastic job coloring the Santa elf! What an inspiration your card is for using embossed foil for a wintery scene!!! I’m going to have to use it on some of my holiday cards. Thanks for the clever idea!!!
