One of my favorite techniques is paper piecing, and that is the challenge for this week at Always Fun Challenges. I think this was one of the first techniques I tried when I started stamping and making cards.
I started by stamping the cat image on white card stock, and then did a little blending to add some clouds and grass. It was a little tricky to not get any green ink on the fence where I wanted to keep it white, but nothing a little masking couldn’t handle. I also found a sentiment I thought went well with the image. I then stamped the cat image again on 6 different patterned papers. Each one was cut out so it could be pieced over the outline on the original white card stock.
Once that was done I found the background paper I liked to mount it on to finish off the card.
