There’s a really fun new challenge up at Double Trouble! The image below summarizes the requirements.
The main (and only requirement) is from Thing 1: Follow the recipe of 3-2-1, that is use at least 3 colors, use at least 2 embellishments, and use at least 1 sentiment, as well as a stamp that you’ve had for at least a year. If you want to go for the optional twist by Thing 3 then you should create your card inspired by this sketch:
If you meet both of those requirements you are ready to join in the challenge by Thing 2, which is to link you project to the challenge over at Retro Rubber Challenges.
My “ingredients” included an older stamp from Unity Stamp Company, I think I’ve had it at least a few years (it has been used a lot in that time!), sequins and bakers twine, and a sentiment from Taylored Expressions. My papers and card stock are from Stampin’ Up.
Your 3-2-1 recipe sure made a fantastic cake…magical what a simple recipe can create. Love all the textures and colors you used in your project… pretty card.
What a bright and cheery birthday card! I love how your cake is the main element of the sketch. You brought this all together so cute with all the elements of the new challenge! 🙂
I love the papers and colouring the cake yellow pulls out all those hidden colours. Great take on the sketch 🙂
Love that you chose a cake for your “triangle”!!! I just couldn’t get past thinking of a real triangle for my card, but you proved that all triangles are not created alike! Clever card with lots of great colors, Melanie!!! -Donna
Hello Melanie: I just love how you interpreted our sketch over at RETRO RUBBER and how you incorporated the “Thing 2” from DOUBLE TROUBLE.
The colors are so festive and fun, I have that embossing folder which is perfect for the image of your awesome cake.
Thank you for playing along with us, hope to see you back in our gallery again soon.
Hugs.
