The “Things” are ready for spring! Their current challenge at Double Trouble is a 3 part challenge. You can see what Thing 1, Thing 3, and Thing 2 are asking in the pictures below:
Now of course the only required part of the challenge is from Thing 1, and that is using the photo as an inspiration to create a card with “spring things.” I used the umbrella, clouds, and flowers when I came up with my card. Thing 3 added the extra twist to have something on your card that has to do with water, hence the raindrops!
Finally, Thing 2 always challenges you to link your card with our challenge partner site – this time it is with Artsystamper Digitals, where their challenge is also “Spring.”
I used a very old stamp set I had called “April Showers.” I have no idea who made it! I did a little blending to make the clouds and backgrounds, colored my images with Copic markers, and assembled them onto a 9″ x 5 1/2″ panel that I scored into 3 sections. When folded the card will stand up.
How pretty this is with the three sections on a stand up card, Melanie! I like the progression from rain to flowers!
Wow, Melanie – I love this card style! Each section is its own interpretation of spring. Super work!
OMG this is just fabulous! I haven’t played with this design in ages! Thanks for fun inspiration! Thanks so much for playing in our challenge at the Artsystamper Challenge Blog!
