“Easter Blessings” is the title that goes along with the photo inspiration challenge at The Card Concept Challenge Blog.
Some of the things that drew my attention in this photo were the cross and the flowers, but I also liked the weathered looking white wood. I decided to put those three things together to make my card.
I used a wood grain embossing folder and a blending brush with a little gray ink to weather it a bit. The lily stamp I used is from the monthly Greenhouse Society Club at Technique Tuesday Stamps, and the cross die cut is from a Stampin’ Up set called Hold on to Hope. To add a little dimension I used some ribbon and raised up the sentiment.
Beautiful card. I love the way that you colored the lilies.
This card is so pretty! I love the detailing in the cross and that awesome background texture in the wood! It looks great! Thanks so much for playing along with us over at The Card Concept!
